Silo Art Australia

A trip to Australia is not complete until you have visited some of our beautiful rural towns. This collection of images follows the art silo trail conceived in 2016. The trail is Australia's largest outdoor gallery. It stretches over 200klm linking the towns of Brim, Lascelles, Patchewollock, Rosebery, Rupanyup, Sheep Hills and Sea Lake. Located in the Wimmera Mallee districts the artworks painted on th silo's recognise and celebrate the people of the region. Many of the silo's which have become the canvass for the various artists that participated in the project can be dated back to the 1930s.

Apart from the silos and various murals painted on some of the buildings in the rural towns the region has other attractions well worth a visit. Lake Tyrrell Victoria's largest salt lake is located close to the township of Sea Lake on the art silo trail. Sunsets can be quite spectacular and when the sun goes down the stars come out to play as viewed from the sky lounges.
